Daniel Mendelsohn is an American classicist, critic, and memoirist. He is a professor at Bard College and frequent contributor to The New Yorker. An Odyssey: A Father, a Son, and an Epic is a memoir about teaching Homer's Odyssey with his 81-year-old father auditing the course.
