John Steinbeck

John Steinbeck (1902–1968) was an American author who won the 1962 Nobel Prize in Literature. He is best known for The Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice and Men, and East of Eden. Cannery Row, set in Monterey, California, is a lyrical portrait of life on the margins, celebrated for its warmth and humor.
